Summer Uniform

The end of Term Three marks the end of winter uniforms. Families are encouraged to check their child's summer uniform over the break, with a trip to Tara Uniforms, if necessary, prior to the commencement of Term Four.

As a reminder, all students will still require their blazer every Monday and for significant formal events throughout the term, such as Year 12 Valedictory, Presentation Evening and the Academic Awards assemblies. Further to this, students will require their blazer on the first day of Term Four, Tuesday, 10 October, for our start-of-term whole-school Eucharist which celebrates us coming back together to commence the term.

Mobile Phone Use

Recently there has been an increase in the number of students who are not meeting expectations with their use of mobile phones whilst at school. The guidelines are clearly explained in the School’s Mobile Phone and Computer Use Policy available through SEQTA.

In summary:

  • Year 7 to 9 students are not to have their phones on their person. It is to be switched off and placed in their locker throughout the school day and prior to the start of PCG.
  • Year 10 to 12 students may have their phones with them, but they are only to be used in the event of an emergency. At all other times they should be out of sight and away in the bags.
  • Mobile phones are not to be used in the stairwell or in the toilets.
  • Phones may only be used at school if express permission is granted or there is a special need through prior arrangement from a member of the Senior Executive Team or Head of Year.
  • Mobile phones cannot be used to take videos or pictures of another person whilst at school.

Families are encouraged to discuss each individuals responsibility for their mobile phone usage over the holiday break, so students return to Term Four committed to meet these expectations.

Misuse of the Mobile Phone Policies result in students having their phone confiscated and it is not returned until the end of the day from Level 1. It may be that students are late leaving school because of this, and so it would be wonderful to see many less mobile phones confiscated from the start of Term Four.

2024 Enrolment Update

We remind all families that any changes to a student’s enrolment for 2024 requires a full term’s notice to be given to St George’s Anglican Grammar School or a full term’s fees paid in lieu.

This means that the school needs to be notified in writing prior to the start of Term Four 2023 for any 2024 enrolment changes. All such communications should be addressed to the Principal, Mrs Tina Campbell and emailed to principal@stgeorges.wa.edu.au

Year 7 2024 is now full with a wait list and places are limited in Year 7 2025.

Families are reminded to enrol younger siblings seeking a place at St George’s Anglican Grammar School as soon as possible so as to avoid disappointment.

An additional stream will be added to our Year 10s for 2024 to accommodate several requests for additional places.

If you know of any families seeking a change of school at Year 10 level in 2024, please do encourage them to apply through our Enrolments Registrar, Mrs Aimee Thyer. Places in Year 10 2024 will be strictly limited.
