Set Monologue Showcase

 A Night of Excellence

Anticipation filled the air as we gathered to witness the culmination of a year's worth of dedication and creativity at the 2023 Drama Showcase. This exceptional event featured the solo works of our talented Year 12 ATAR drama students, who have poured their hearts and souls into their performances this year.

One of the highlights was the students' interpretation of Set Monologues, carefully selected from the School Curriculum and Standards Authority's list of 54. These monologues challenged our young actors to delve deep into their characters, exploring the rich nuances of their roles with incredible depth and precision.

Equally impressive were the Candidates' Choice monologues, where students had the creative freedom to write their own monologues or choose one from various sources. The diversity of themes, emotions and storytelling approaches left the audience captivated. These original and thought-provoking monologues showcased the students' versatility and unique perspectives on dramatic storytelling. The students shone in every performance, connecting with the audience on an emotional level and leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest markers and moderators, Carli, Rudi, and Henry. Their valuable feedback and insights provided our students with a fresh perspective and will undoubtedly contribute to their growth as performers. We also thank Mrs Taylor and Mr Newton for their unwavering support throughout the year. Lastly, we would like to thank the staff members who attended the showcase. Your presence and encouragement play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment for our young performers to give of their best.

We look forward to witnessing the continued growth and success of these young actors as they embark on their journeys beyond high school.
