45km Charity Walk

45km Charity Walk to Bungawarra 2023

A Display of Community and Service

The 29th 45km Charity Walk to Bungawarra took place on Saturday 7th October. It was wonderful to welcome back this long-standing annual fundraising tradition. A true endurance event, participants are to be commended for their determination and commitment to charity.

This year, walkers traversed a range of terrain from the sealed footpaths of Wentworth Falls, to the winding tracks of the Kanimbla Valley and the dusty roads of Little Hartley. A barbeque at the final checkpoint Bungawarra, provided participants with the opportunity to recover and celebrate their achievement with family and friends.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of volunteers from the School community. Thank you to Mr George Vergotis and his team of volunteers for all they did on the day and in the lead-up to the event. Thank you also to Mr Ron Simpson and the Rapid Relief Team for sustaining our walkers with nutritious food.

The funds raised by this year’s event will support the ongoing work of Compassion Australia, Ibulanku School Project Uganda, and Greystanes Disability Services Leura.

A reminder to all participants that sponsorship money is due by Friday 20th October. Please submit your sponsorship forms and money to Mrs Milsom at Coorah reception.

Thank you to all those who made this year’s event so memorable. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
