Food for the Soul

Food for the soul is a community soup kitchen run by volunteers operating every Wednesday night serving over 40 people a warm homemade 2 course dinner. It serves people who may be struggling or vulnerable in our local community and it also creates a safe space for those that are lonely or isolated.

“Are you in need of some good conversation, or maybe would appreciate a meal that doesn't come out of the grocery budget? No matter what brings you to us, you're invited! Every Wednesday night we lovingly provide a delicious meal and dessert for ANYONE in the Inverell community.

Come for a meal amongst a warm friendly community, or come for company and good conversation and a meal as a bonus. Everyone is welcome.

Our community kitchen is open from 5pm to 6.30pm, with dinner served around 5.30.

Find us in the Salvation Army Hall

Donations are accepted but not expected. If you are able, a gold coin donation is appreciated, or you may like to pop in a little more for someone else as well. You are also welcome to just come along and share a meal without a donation.

We believe kindness changes lives.”
