Experiential Learning & Round Square

Mr Liam Callaghan, Head of Experiential Learning & Round Square

Congratulations Emily Caro -  Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award

Congratulations to Emily Caro for completing her Gold - Duke of Edinburgh Award - a fantastic achievement!

"Completing the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award helped me to step outside my comfort zone and grow more confident in a variety of situations. It pushed me to try new things, stay consistent, and work as part of a team. It was a challenging experience that I learned a lot from."    - Emily Caro

Return and Earn

From the Round Square Environmentalism Team

Launching at the beginning of Term 4, Environmentalism Round Square is introducing a 'Return and Earn' initiative to the school.

There will be a number of clearly labelled blue 'Return and Earn' bins in each of the quads for students to use for 10c recyclable bottles, as well as in the pool car park for any bottles and cans that are brought to school from home.

Another way to support this initiative is by directly depositing any cans and bottles to the town drop off centre, and donating this money to the Environmentalism team via a barcode in the 'Return and Earn' app (please see poster below for how to do this!)

If students wish to donate alcoholic or glass bottles, we kindly ask these are not brought to the school for dropping off, but taken directly to the Return centre and direct deposited.

All funds from this initiative will be reinvested into future Environmentalism initiatives across the Junior and Senior schools.

If this or any of our other initiatives interests you, you have some fresh ideas or would be interested in attending the environmentalism expo excursion in Sydney next term, we’d love for you to join us at our Round Square Environmentalism meetings in room 81 each Monday Lunchtime.
