School Captains' Report

Wominjeka everyone, and welcome to our fourth and last newsletter for Term Three. We hope everyone has had a great week. Here are a few highlights from the past two weeks:
We returned to hats last Monday. It’s great to see everyone being safe, kind and respectful by being SunSmart. Just a reminder to bring your hat for the rest of this year!
If you were at our assembly last week then you would have seen Jordan from Year Six with an amazing speech. We were learning about body image and to embrace our body. There were a number of students who presented in front of Year Six and Jordan was the most voted to present at assembly. He was amazing and it was a very inspiring speech that we hope people will remember and take on.
Next Thursday is Footy Day! Footy Day is where all the school participates in football events. Also you get to wear your favourite football jersey. Either rugby, soccer or AFL. We can’t wait to see everyone in their colours!
An update from the Year Sixes is our Gala Day cricket. In Term One the summer interschool sports team made it through to Divisionals. They have been waiting until spring and summer comes around and now they have started training. They will be competing in the event on Week Two of Term Four. Good luck!
Another sports update is Divisional Athletics. There were a handful of students competing in Divisional events on Wednesday. Congratulations to all the students who competed and gave their best.
As we approach the end of Term Three we as Captains would like to say a huge thank you to all our parents, teachers and staff for helping us learn in the best way possible. Even if it is dropping us to school, or checking in on us during lunch. Every day you help us be the best versions of ourselves.
We hope everyone has an amazing weekend and we can’t wait to see you all on Monday.
Your School Captains, Engy, Sam and Astin.
