UPDATE: ENROLMENT POLICY

IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS UPDATE

Please find here some important updates to our Enrolment Policy, Enrolment Terms and Conditions and Fees Policy taking effect in September 2025

The changes are designed to strengthen our school community and ensure we continue to provide the supportive and positive environment you've come to value. We understand that changes to long-standing practices can sometimes raise questions, so we want to explain the reasoning behind them.

Our school's unique culture, which is one of warmth, respect, and shared purpose is something we cherish. It's built on the collective efforts of every student, family, and staff member. To maintain this environment, especially as our students grow and transition through different stages, we have made the following adjustments.

Key Updates to Our Enrolment Policy:

  • Continuity of Enrolment, with Re-confirmation at Key Transitions: Your child's enrolment is generally continuous from Kindergarten right through to Year 12, provided all conditions are met. However, we're introducing a formal re-confirmation process at two significant points:

  • Moving from Kindergarten to Prep

  • Moving from Primary to Secondary (with an exemption for current Years 5 and 6 students)

At these transitions, you'll be asked to re-confirm your child's place and pay a non-refundable confirmation fee, as outlined in our Fees Policy. This confirmation fee will be credited to your child’s fees at the end of Term 3 in Prep or Year 7 as per Section 3.4 of the Enrolment Terms and Conditions. Students leaving prior to this time will forfeit the fee.

This re-confirmation process helps us to accurately plan for class sizes, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that every student entering these new phases is fully committed and ready to embrace our school's values. It also helps us manage the significant demand for places at our school, ensuring fairness for all families.

  • Required Documentation at Transition: As part of the re-confirmation, families will need to complete updated enrolment paperwork and sign an acceptance of our Enrolment Terms & Conditions. It's really important that these requirements are met, as failure to do so may mean we're unable to hold your child's place.

  • Upholding Behavioural Expectations: Our school thrives when everyone contributes positively. To ensure a safe and productive learning environment for all, we reserve the right to withdraw an enrolment offer if a student consistently fails to meet our behavioural expectations in line with our Code of Conduct. This difficult decision is always made with the wellbeing of the wider school community in mind, ensuring that our positive culture remains strong for everyone. We would seek to keep families both informed and involved as part of this process.

These updates are about ensuring clarity and fairness, but most importantly, they're about safeguarding the unique and positive learning environment that makes our school so special. We value your family's place in our community and appreciate your understanding and support as we implement these changes.
