Wellbeing Report

We were fortunate to have Dave from Dolly’s Dream visit our Year 4, 5 and 6 students this week to lead a powerful workshop on bullying. The session encouraged students to explore both the obvious and not-so-obvious forms of bullying, and provided strategies to help improve the culture around bullying in their own lives and school community.
Students were encouraged to actively talk about bullying, acknowledge the impact that actions can have on others, and reflect on the importance of kindness and respect in all relationships. Following the session, classes continued the conversation through reflective activities that helped students connect the workshop ideas to their own experiences.
This was an incredibly valuable opportunity for our students to think deeply about the role they each play in creating a safe and supportive environment, and to be reminded that everyone has the power to make a positive difference.
On Thursday, September 11th, our school community came together to acknowledge and celebrate R U OK? Day. Students were invited to wear a touch of yellow and contribute a gold coin donation in support of this important cause.
Across all year levels, classes engaged in meaningful activities that encouraged students to reflect on the importance of checking in with one another and starting conversations that can make a difference. Students discussed what it means to ask “R U OK?”, how to recognise when someone might need support, and ways to be a good listener and friend.
The day was a wonderful reminder that even small actions—like asking a question or showing kindness—can have a big impact. Thank you to everyone who supported this event and helped promote the message that we all have a role to play in looking out for each other.
