From the Acting Principal

This Sunday is Father's Day. A day when we celebrate, remember, and give thanks for our dads, grandfathers, husbands, uncles, and special father figures in our lives. We wish all of our STM dads and special people a very Happy Father's Day. Thank you for the love you give, the connections you build, the lessons you teach, and the memories you create - they will be treasured for years to come.

Father's Day Stall:

Tomorrow, our P&F committee is hosting our annual Father's Day Stall. Students will have the chance to purchase gifts from the stall during the middle learning block. Generally, children will not need to bring more than $10 in a ziplock bag or envelope with their name clearly marked.

District Athletics:

Today, we had many Year 3/4/5/6 students attend District Athletics held at Knox Athletics Track. They all did an outstanding job representing our school, showing sportsmanship, STM spirit and striving to do their best. We are all very proud of their efforts and achievements.  It takes courage to put yourself out there to compete or try something new. We have a few students making their way into the next round - Eliza, Payton and Grayson. Thank you to Mrs Wicks, Mrs Saville, Ms Auld and Mrs Cook for braving the chilly weather to support our students. Thanks also to the parents who came along to cheer. Well done to our 2025 District Athletics team!

Mrs Janky - Inspired to Lead; Pilgrimage to Ireland

During the September holidays I will be taking part in the Inspire to Lead pilgrimage to Ireland, representing our school on this special journey. As I travel across some of Ireland’s most sacred and historic spiritual sites, I would love to carry your prayers and intentions with me.

This is a beautiful opportunity not just for me, but for all of us to connect with the deep spiritual roots of our faith. If there is anything you would like me to pray for, whether it’s for yourself, a loved one, or a particular situation, you are warmly invited to write it down.

All prayers will be kept sealed and private, and I will carry them with me as I visit each holy site. At each site, I will spend time in prayer over your intentions, offering them up in these sacred spaces so that you, too, may spiritually benefit from the journey.

If you’d like to take part, please feel free to drop your prayer intentions (sealed in an envelope if you wish) into the box on the prayer table by Thursday 18th September (last week of the term).  Together we can journey on this path of faith together, across countries, through prayer, and in spirit.

Team Colours Day:

To celebrate the end of term, students are invited to wear their team clothing or colours on Friday, 19th September. This may be for their favourite footy, soccer, rugby, netball, hockey, or any other team they follow and support. Extra play time for any students who wear black & white!

Kackawackadoo Bay - Whole School Dress Rehearsal:

Students will be participating in their first dress rehearsal for the much-anticipated school production, Kackawackadoo Bay. This will take place on Wednesday, 17th September, after recess. Please ensure your child brings their costume in a bag with their name clearly labelled to help keep everything organised and easily identifiable.

Jeanette has also popped an updated note in the Production Costumes tab for our Prep - Year 3 families.

Important Dates and Upcoming Events:

Some new dates have been added in bold to this section of the newsletter. Please take the chance to read this and add any dates to your calendar.
