Year 12 students studying a Year 12 subject are beginning to wrap up the last of their Unit 4 SACs and SATs. Once this term is finished, there will be a week of trial exams for which full student attendance is expected; after that, it will be full steam ahead with revision for exams!
Most students will begin their exams with the English/EAL Exam on Tuesday 28th October.
However please note that many students studying a language through VSL will sit their written exam on Thursday 16th October, including those studying Khmer and Russian. The helpful Exams Navigator provides all details for students in sitting exams.

Practice exams scheduled in September holidays. We have two and a half weeks of revision classes in Term 4 prior to SWOTVAC week and exam period commencing Tuesday 28 October English/EAL through to Wednesday 19 November.
Year 11 subjects will continue through Term 4 before Year 11 exams in Week 8 of the term, from November 24th. If Year 11s are studying a Year 12 subject they are expected to attend the trial exams in the first week of the holidays and attend all regular classes other than the day of their final exam.
Thank you!

Year 12 Work Related Skills students recently took part in 'mock interviews' based upon their Career Portfolios containing: resumes, cover letters, biographies, workplace skills and reasoning on ‘Why they should get the Job’ to name a few.
Thanks to Ms Geraldine, our career’s expert for organising the following workplace professionals who gave up their time to assess, discuss and advise on negotiating an interview and a myriad of topics.
Interviewers: Thanks to Callum Khaw and Darcy Bourke, Engineering Interns - from Cummins
Thanks to Michael Porter and his colleague from Holmesglen VELCI Career Advice Service - Holmesglen Employment Centre
Thanks to Priya Veluswamy and Ivana from Kanooka Childcare Centre
Mega thanks to Ashley Oehler and Ethan - Ashley is our Wellbeing Coordinator at WSC.
The industry feedback was invaluable for our Westall students with our interviewers being impressed with our student's preparation. They did very well in presenting themselves and building a new kind of confidence. It really was a positive experience for both students and professionals alike - students gaining further experience and pointers and interviewers enjoying very much the chance to ‘give back’ some of the help that they had gained over many years of hard work.
Thanks again to the students and interview panel members who made this 'Mock Interview' session a success.
