Mr Travis Mcintosh
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
It’s hard to believe we’re already in Week 9 of Term 3! As we begin to look toward the final stretch of the school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate recent events, remind families of upcoming changes, and thank everyone for their ongoing support.
Our Middle School Wellbeing Day at Karkarook Park was a great success! Students enjoyed a much-needed break from classroom routines, spending time outdoors, connecting with each other, and participating in team-building activities.
The BBQ lunch was a hit, and the fresh air and relaxed setting gave everyone the chance to recharge and enjoy nature together. Thank you to all staff and students who made this a memorable day!
Last week, our Year 9 students participated in the Red Frogs “Party Safe” program—a valuable session that equips young people with strategies to navigate social settings safely, especially parties and music festivals.
The program uses real-life stories and first-hand experiences from events like Schoolies/ Leavers Week to open students' eyes to the risks of alcohol and drug use, while empowering them to make informed, responsible decisions. It’s all about keeping themselves and their friends safe while still enjoying social events.

As we prepare for Term 4, a reminder that students are expected to be in full summer uniform from the first day back. Key points include:
Girls should wear the designated summer dress (no tights or stockings).
Students must refer to the school website for full uniform details: Westall SC Uniform Guidelines
School caps are required for outdoor PE and sports classes to ensure sun safety.
Please ensure uniforms are ready in time to support a smooth transition into Term 4.
A big thank you to all students and families for your active participation in course counselling for 2026. It was fantastic to see students arrive informed, prepared, and excited about their future learning paths.
We are now working hard behind the scenes to build a timetable based on these selections. A draft timetable will be shared in early Term 4.
We would like to extend our appreciation to Mr Peter Tarwala and Mr Luciano Murray, who have been doing a fantastic job leading the Middle School in Ms Collins’ absence. Their leadership, care, and commitment have ensured a smooth continuation of support for all our students.
Stay in Touch. As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to reach out, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Best wishes,
Mr Travis Mcintosh
