From the Wellbeing Team!
A message from the Student Wellbeing Coordinator
Ashley Oehler
Term 3 is a great time to remind us to take a break, keep calm and carry on. This term for wellbeing has been very creative as we have had students decorate cupcakes for Wear it Purple and we have started on our Wellbeing Mural.
After school, our placement student Fathiah has been running an after-school program that has had students use their creativity to come together and create an artwork in the space that we can all celebrate. This Mural celebrates art and connection, bringing peace to the wellbeing space. We cannot wait to show you all the finished product.
During the break, here are some ways that you can wind down:
- Log off social media for 24 hours
- The best things in life are free
- Get Crafty
Reach out:
I know it sounds like a lot, but time away from the online world can support you in clearing your mind.
Grab your friends and family, take a trip to the park, beach, or beautiful nature spot. A picnic or some time on the swings can refresh and reset you.
You can make a vision board on Pinterest or even grab some old magazines. Scrapbook your holidays, take lots of photos and keep the nice memories to share.
Over the holidays, sometimes we forget to reach out to friends, and we might isolate. The wellbeing team encourages you to reach out to your friends, family, and community if you are struggling these holidays.
