Celebration of Learning
The countdown is one! It’s only just over a week until our annual Celebration of Learning!
The Celebration of Learning is always a fantastic event for our families to come along to and get an insight into what your child/ren are learning at school.
All classroom spaces as well as specialist areas will be open for students to lead their families through and share their learning.
Tracey and her team in the canteen will also have the BBQ fired up, and there will be other snacks and drinks also available (EFTPOS available).
We hope to see you all there!
Ballarat Young Authors’ Program
Last Friday, September 5, our BPS students who are participating in the Ballarat Young Authors’ Program visited the Australian Catholic University (ACU) for workshop 3 of this year’s program.
The theme for the day was, ‘Exploring the World Around Us’. Students participated in four workshops that included activities with authors and illustrators. The students were involved in writing, planning and illustrating throughout the day with each of the guest presenters. Students also took part in a team building activity campus tour of the ACU campus, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Swimming and Water Safety
Thanks to parents and carers for all your support with the swimming program so far. We appreciate all the extra organisation that it takes at home to ensure all runs smoothly on our end. Prep, Year 1, 2AA and 2CV all completed their lessons last week and the program ran very smoothly. This week 2KG, Year 3 and Year 4 students are participating in swimming, which has also got off to a great start.
Next week our Scotsburn students will have their turn at participating in the swimming and water safety program and then in week 4 of next term (27/10-31/10) our year 5/6 students will take part. Thanks once again to our parents and carers for your ongoing support.
