Principal's Report

VSSS (Victorian State School Spectacular)

We wish the best of luck to Mrs Morgan and our VSSS dancers in the lead up to final rehearsals on Thursday and Friday and then 2 performances at John Cain Arena on Saturday.  Considerable work has gone into getting to this stage and we know the kids will make us proud and will get a lot out of the experience.  Attached are a few photos from 2 years ago to provide a sense of the occasion.

Father’s Day

We hope all dads in the school community had a lovely day on Sunday.  It was really nice seeing the kids get excited at school in the lead up as they purchased something for dad from the stall or enjoyed time with dad or grandad at the Father’s Day breakfast.

The Scotsburn crew have had a Father’s Day breakfast gathering for a number of years, which has always been well received.  We’re pleased to have managed our first Father’s Day breakfast for Buninyong campus dads.  We had lots of dads and kids come along and there was a great atmosphere throughout.  No doubt this will now become an annual event.

A big thank you to Tracey Coats and her team of helpers who did an amazing job preparing and serving the food.

 Footy Colours Day

Don’t forget that next week we will finish off term 3 with a Footy Colours Day.  This is always good fun.  Students are invited to come along in the sporting colours of their choice (any code of sport).

Students are also invited to bring along with some coins, with the money going to Mpatso, a village in Africa that our school has supported for a number of years.

And of course, the day wouldn’t be the same without a sausage sizzle and Staff Vs Grade 6 students sporting contest of some sort.

Parent Surveys

Thanks to those that have already completed this survey that was distributed to families three weeks ago.  For those that haven’t, you now have until Friday September 19.  We’d like to get lots of survey responses, so please consider taking 20 minutes to help us out with this.
