WORSHIP SERVICES AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to attend the worship service held in the church each Sunday at 9.30am.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Held every Tuesday during term time from 9-10.30am, Playgroup @ St Paul is for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver. School families are more than welcome to come across after you have done the school drop-off. We won’t be completely set up, but you are still welcome to hang out with us.

Cost is $2 per family, and your first visit is free.

Come and check out the play space, make a craft, play with playdough, explore the sensory play space, and join in with story and song time.

This week we made wombats at the craft table or coloured wombats in and played with the Australian animals in the sensory play space.

Next week there will be bubbles everywhere to go with the book ‘Meerkat Splash’ by Aura Parker.

A NIGHT OF FUN AND GAMES (Excuse the pun…)

You are welcome to come and join the church community for a night of fun out with a Board Games Night.  Bring your favourite board game (or two or three), a jigsaw, knitting or craft project.  The football will be on the screen as well, so you won’t have to miss any of the finals action.  Food and drink for sale includes baked potatoes, ice cream, lolly bags, popcorn and soft drinks and if that wasn’t enough, there is a trading table too.  This is a family night, and children are more than welcome.

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

This week the Bible verses talk about the dangers of trying to love God wholeheartedly and also things of this world that we could use to take his place as the priority in our lives.

You cannot be the slave of two masters.

You will like one more than the other or be

more loyal to one than to the other. You

cannot serve God and money. (Luke 16:13)

God provides for all our needs and calls us to trust in that promise to provide.  If we put our trust in money and in trying to provide for ourselves, we’re not allowing God the opportunity to show us how generous he is.  This isn’t to say we should spend the money he has given us irresponsibly and expect God to still provide for us; God calls for the responsible stewardship of the money he has given us so that he can show us the faithfulness of his promises.

MEALTIME PRAYER

Thank you, Lord, for our food, and for the people who have prepared it. Amen.

BLESSING

(Name) May you love God and find joy in him forever. Amen.
