Year 11 and 12

Year 11
Term 3 has been an action-packed and rewarding term for our students. We were privileged to welcome the Pat Cronin Foundation to speak with our students about the importance of making safe and respectful choices, a powerful message that resonated strongly across our school community. Our Biology students enjoyed an engaging excursion to the zoo, bringing their studies to life with real-world examples of animal behaviour and adaptation. Our VM students participated in real job interviews at the Global Learning Centre in Sunbury, gaining valuable experience and confidence in presenting themselves to potential employers. Finally, we were thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our students at the second Presentation Ball, which was a wonderful evening.
Year 12
We would like to congratulate our Year 12 students on completing Term 3, and celebrate those who have successfully finished their VCE and VCE VM studies. This milestone reflects the courage, resilience, and determination you have shown throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of the way you have supported each other and remained focused during this important stage of your schooling.
This term has been filled with valuable opportunities and experiences for both our VCE and our VCE VM students.
Warm and Fuzzy Day was a great celebration of kindness, encouragement, and connection. All year 12 students wore their comfy clothes, started the day with a coffee served by staff members, joined in some afternoon activities and finished the day off by reading through the many warm and fuzzy notes they had written each other.Students have been privileged to take part in Police & Mainfreight Talks. Which offered students valuable insights into community safety, personal safety, career pathways and leadership. The VCEVM Thrift Shop was also held this term. It was a student-led initiative promoting sustainability, entrepreneurship, and community spirit. With a great finish to their work related skills subject, raising close to $1000 for the very special kids foundation.
With just two full weeks of classes left until final exams, now is the time to stay sharp, focused, and consistent in your preparation. Every lesson, every study session, and every effort counts towards your success. The Exam Marathon is a great way to focus and hone in on the areas you need to for each and every subject. Use these holidays and final weeks to consolidate knowledge, be exposed to exam questions and practice full exams under exam conditions.
As we move toward the final weeks, we encourage all students to continue upholding the high standards expected at our college:
- Uniform Policy – Full and correct school uniform must be worn at all times.
- Mobile Phone Policy – Phones must remain switched off and stored in lockers between 9:00am–3:10pm.
- Punctuality – Arrive on time, ready to learn, and remember to sign in or out at the office if arriving late or leaving early.
When these expectations are not met, detentions will be issued and must be attended promptly.
A reminder that the VTAC application process is now well underway, with deadlines fast approaching. If you have not yet started your application, please make time to explore your options, create your profile, and submit your application before the closing date. Staff are available to assist with any questions you may have.
This year has demanded a great deal, and each and every student and their families have responded with courage, kindness, and determination. Keep supporting one another, remain connected, and remember—you are not on this journey alone. We believe in you, and we are proud to walk alongside you as you take these final steps.
