Wellbeing Corner

As is becoming a bit of a tradition, we finished off Term 3 in the classroom acknowledging the important messaging of R U OK? Day. R U OK? Day encourages all of us to
meaningfully connect with those around us and ask, ‘R U OK?’. It’s important that we all recognise that you don’t need to be an expert to reach out to someone if you think they don’t seem like themselves - just a good friend and a great listener.
The key steps of R U OK? are:
- Ask ‘R U OK?’
- Listen
- Encourage action
- Check back in
All students had a great time, as we were joined by a number of our great MITS friends for a day of wellbeing activities including physical activity, meditation, cooking, art, cupcake decorating and gratitude letters. We finished the day with our annual staff vs students dodgeball game, with the students securing the win and taking home the MITS Cup for 2025! A huge thanks to our supporters Headspace, Swisse, the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service, BluEarth and Megzy for showing up and helping to run our sessions.
