3/4 News…

Poets in the Making
The 3/4s have begun an exciting short unit on poetry! Students have already explored the structure and creativity of Haikus and have just started learning about the playful rhythms of limericks. Next week, we’ll dive into sensory poems, using our five senses to bring vivid images and feelings to life in writing. It’s been wonderful to see the students experimenting with rhythm, rhyme, and word choice to create their own unique poems.
Class Novel Adventures: Pippi Longstocking
We have now finished our class novel, Pippi Longstocking. To celebrate, students reflected on the story by writing about character traits they see in themselves or by sharing their favourite adventure that Pippi had along the way. Their responses showed not only a strong understanding of the text, but also their ability to connect personally with the story. Pippi’s imagination and fearless spirit have certainly left a lasting impression on our class!
