KELiS
FINAL DAY
For the final day of the KELiS Leaders series, Leongatha hosted the participating schools and Aunty Linda Mullet spoke of the importance of finding out who family was, to begin the healing from the Stolen Generations damage, and of learning the stories of the elders that contain so much knowledge that could never be erased by colonisation.
The leaders had a ball game break, where they had to hit the bouncing 'kangaroo' with a bean bag to claim the hunt, before convening indoors again to conference in groups the activities they would like to see in their schools in 2025 that represent their culture and community.
Next year will see new Leaders and an evolving space of learning and cultural sharing!
