Book Club has now concluded for the year! Thanks to all parents/carers for your support! With this support our school has earned reward points that I have been able to put towards new resources for our library. I expect the issue 8 delivery to be here sometime next week.

Parents, please remind your child/ren to return any borrowed books ASAP! Thanks!

Big Summer Read

A message from Australian Children’s Laureate and author Sally Rippin:

Did you know? On average, children can lose 2-3 months of reading skills if they don’t continue reading over the summer. This loss of reading skills is what research calls the ‘summer slide’.

However, children who continue reading books during summer benefit significantly, and public libraries are a huge help with this.

Running from December 1st to January 31st, the BIG Summer Read is helping promote a love of reading across Australia, even during the summer holiday break.
