BPS Staffing 2025
Thank you to teachers, staff, parents, the Parent & Friends Community and School Council for their tireless efforts and dedication in making 2024 a successful year for our students and their learning.
BPS Staffing 2025
I have attached a document highlighting the new teachers and other staff who will start employment at BPS in 2025. The new teachers attended a planning day with their 2025 grade level team last week. In addition, most of the new teachers also attended Orientation Day on Tuesday 10th December 2024. I know parents will also make these new staff welcome.
Thank you to all our departing teachers and other staff for their dedication to our students and their learning during their time at Brighton Primary School. We wish the following departing teachers all the very best with their new adventure - Nicole King, Andrea Durward, Emily Seccull, Geri Kelly, Josh Lennon, Bec Young, Anna Harris, Krystle Horadam, Emma Hyland, and Nicole MacDonald. In addition, the following ES Learning Enhancement Aides - Greta Mackinlay, Jake Maples, Tess Rogers, and Sharon Portelli - will also be departing at the end of the year and we wish them well too.
Maddy Long will be taking 12 months leave in 2025 while Tatjana Linklater will be returning to Brighton Primary School next year following 12 months leave. Tatjana will be our Grade 1 Learning Leader and the P-6 Teaching & Learning Specialist next year.
Student Classroom Placement
A reminder that we have worked hard to ensure that each child is placed with at least one of their nominated friends.
We understand that some students may feel disappointed if not all their friends are in their new class next year, and your support can make a big difference in helping them navigate these emotions. You can encourage resilience by focusing on the positives – such as the opportunity to make new friends, reconnect with old ones, and build independence.
Reassuring your child that friendships can thrive across different classes can help them feel more confident and open to new experiences.
With best wishes,
