8B fills boxes for Operation Christmas Child
Last term, 8B worked together to fill shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child. Our initial goal was to fill just one shoebox with Christmas Gifts. As a class, the students donated enough to fill four boxes, all especially for children aged between 10-14!
Together, we enjoyed packing the boxes and praying over them as a class. This year, the boxes will go to Cambodia, the Philippines, and Ukraine.
Mrs Worley and Mrs Briggs send our heartfelt thanks to the students and their families for their generosity, creativity and gift-giving.
About Operations Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It is a hands-on way for you to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. We collect the boxes and distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in vulnerable situations.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Year 11 Food and Hospitality
The Year 11 Food and Hospitality classes have kicked off Term 4 by diving into the art of café-style desserts, with a focus on pastry.
In the first week, both classes crafted a variety of delicious, creative, and visually appealing treats. Alongside perfecting their pastry skills, students also considered the health aspects of these desserts, learning the importance of mindful indulgence, portion control, and enjoying these rich treats as occasional delights.

Celebrating our Cultural Diversity
Monday 4 November - Students can dress up!
On Monday, 4 November, the South Plympton Campus will enjoy our annual Culture Day where we will celebrate the vibrant cultural diversity of our school community! This special day will include assemblies for both the Secondary and Junior Schools, bringing together students and staff to learn about our cultural heritage and celebrate a wonderful element of our Christian school, where Christ is at the centre.
Our dedicated Secondary Student Leaders have been hard at work organising an exciting array of activities, including in Home Group time and lunchtime sports competitions, to ensure everyone has the chance to participate and connect.
Students are invited to wear their cultural / traditional dress or colors from a flag representing their heritage, honoring the unique backgrounds that make us who we are.
It’s a day to appreciate the beauty and diversity of God’s children, celebrating the ways we are both different and beautifully united as one community.

Celebration Week
Farewell to the Class of 2024!
What a week! From dressing up as their ‘icon’ at a special breakfast, to versing staff and other students in sports competitions, to donning fun socks and crazy hair, to enjoying a dinner event, the Year 12s certainly celebrated!
We also celebrated the final day of school for our 78 Year 12 students with a heartwarming, student-led assembly alongside parents and staff. Together, we shared memories, worshipped, and enjoyed an incredible performance by 'Jacob and the Detonators' and many other talented students.
Our Year 12 Homegroup teachers offered words of wisdom and encouragement, and to close the day, our entire school community gathered to individually congratulate the graduates with a 'guard of honour'.
This heartfelt tradition stretched from the EPAC to the Oval, beginning with our youngest Foundation students through to Year 11s and the Year 12 parents.
Farewell to our Year 12s and Godspeed this week as you study for your exams!
