Pitjantjatjara Children's Art Bible Launch
Saturday 2 November, 2pm-3pm
Emmaus Christian College, South Plympton Campus
On behalf of the Bible Society, we warmly invite you to celebrate the launch of the Godaku Tjukurpa - Pitjantjatjara Children's Art Bible at our South Plympton Campus.
Inspired by Pitjantjatjara Bible Translator and artist Nami Kulyuru, Godaku Tjukurpa is a Bible specifically designed for Pitjantjatjara children using artwork to tell stories from both the Old and New Testament. It features over 50 original paintings by Anangu.
The Launch will feature speeches, video presentations with the original paintings on exhibit.
Books will be available for purchase, and the funds raised will be used to produce Pitjantjatjara Bible resources for children.
Exactly 13 months ago, Neil Blenkinsop rode his bike a mind-blowing 1400km from Emmaus Christian College to Ernabella Anangu School, successfully raising the $30,000 for the publication of Godaku Tjukurpa.
Emmaus Christian College is pleased to partner with The Bible Society to support the launch of this important book, which will impact the lives of Pitjantjara people for generations to come.

Celebrating our Cultural Diversity
Monday 4 November - Students can dress up!
On Monday, 4 November, our South Plympton Campus, will enjoy our annual Culture Day where we will celebrate the vibrant cultural diversity of our school community! This special day will include assemblies for both the Secondary and Junior Schools, bringing together students and staff to learn about our cultural heritage and celebrate a wonderful element of our Christian school, where Christ is at the centre.
Our dedicated Secondary Student Leaders have been hard at work organising an exciting array of activities, including in Home Group time and lunchtime sports competitions, to ensure everyone has the chance to participate and connect.
Students are invited to wear their cultural / traditional dress or colors from a flag representing their heritage, honouring the unique backgrounds that make us who we are.
It’s a day to appreciate the beauty and diversity of God’s children, celebrating the ways we are both different and beautifully united as one community.
