Variety Muscle Car Run
The Variety Aussie Muscle Car run visited Macedon Primary School on Tuesday and we were delighted to welcome 27 cars on to our oval.
The Variety Aussie Muscle Car Run is an annual event that consists of approx 30 teams/vehicles that work hard throughout the year to raise funds for Kids living with disabilities or disadvantaged.
This year the route takes them from the Adelaide Hills to Phillip Island and they stopped into Macedon Primary to enjoy a lunch from Harvest and Soul. During this time the students assembled on the oval and Andrew was presented a cheque from the Run organiser, Will Langdon in the amount of $8,000 to go towards our sensory room. After the formalities, the children were able to look at the vehicles which are replicas of cars that raced at Bathurst and were built between 1963 – 1988.
Thank you to Mrs Baker for her work in writing the grant application and to the organisers of the event for contacting Macedon, it was great to hold an event like this at the school and the funds are very welcome!
