AusCycling Incursion
Year 3,4,5 and 6
Our Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 students recently had the fantastic opportunity to participate in an AusCycling incursion focused on developing essential cycling skills.
This engaging session introduced our students to the fundamentals of safe and skillful riding under the expert guidance of the AusCycling coach.
The session covered several key skills, including emergency braking, cornering, weight transfer, and overall cycling safety.
Students learned to control their bikes effectively in various situations, with an emphasis on maintaining balance and managing weight distribution to improve stability and control.
Safety was a core focus of the session. Students were briefed on the importance of wearing helmets, using hand signals, and being aware of their surroundings to stay safe on the road.
We are incredibly grateful for Clinton from AUSCYCLING who came out and ran the day.
