Tales From Teaching & Learning
Students sharing what they understand
In every classroom in every school, students are asked to show their understanding of the learning taking place every day. Sometimes this is verbal, sometimes this is written.
At KPS we work very hard to design written activities for our students to show their understanding of a topic in a way which captures everything they know. We aim to remove barriers which would hinder our students in responding and showing what they know.
Some students may be supported with visual or pictures to choose from to communicate their understanding with us, others may be provided with a blank piece of paper, and they design the response themselves. Each child is supported in a way which helps them. Below are some examples of our students’ responses to show their understanding of topics we are learning about at the moment across the school.
