DIVISION WRAP-UP :
Wow! St Joseph's School are so proud of the high number of students who qualified in their various events in the DIVISION Athletics recently at Mornington Athletics Centre in Week 1 of this term (Wednesday, October 9th):
CONGRATULATIONS TO :
1st Lachie Lever (Shot Put - T9 Multi-Class Section) who beat his Personal Best Throw and also the Division Record!! (SEE ALSO LACHIE'S STATE ATHS QUALIFICATION BELOW)
2nd Alfred Hindle (Shot Put - T35 Multi-Class Section)
1st Isabella Willcock (Triple Jump)
1st Tahlia Cleary (800m) and 5th in the Long Jump

Billie Treeby (200m), Charlie Muller (hurdles) and Matilda Cleary (Triple Jump) also represented the school and the Phillip District very well, but narrowly missed Region Qualification.
We, at St Joseph's, are so very proud of each and every one of them and were so excited to see five of them perform on Monday, 21st October, at Casey Athletics Centre for the REGION Athletics Championships.
STOP THE PRESS - REGION ATHS RESULTS ARE IN! Lachie Lever makes it through to STATE ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS.......Go Lachie!
Such a gallant effort and wonderful achievement from each of our Region Athletics competitors, representing our little school of St Joseph's, the Phillip District AND the Southern Peninsula Division this week. Lachie Lever has qualified for the State Athletis Champoionships in the 12/13 year boys Shot Put in his T01 Multi-Class category.
CONGRATULATIONS, LACHIE!
The following students narrowly missed out on State Athletics qualification on Monday at the South Metro Region Finals at Casey, but we were extremely proud of them and conducted themselves brilliantly in effort, performance and attitude: Alfred (bronze medals in Shot Put and 200m and also a 4th in the 100m), Tahlia (5th in the 800m) and Isabella (7th in the Triple Jump). We are still unsure whether Alfred will qualify in his T35 Classification in his Multi-Class Events at State Level. We will keep you posted once we hear.
We will be right behind you at the State Finals, Lachie! Best of luck!
