Principal's Page

Dear Families,

World Teacher's Day will be celebrated in Victoria this year on this coming Friday 25th October. We are so fortunate to have such a passionate staff who strive to improve the learning outcomes of all students. I would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at St Joseph's for the immense effort and dedication that they put into their work in educating, inspiring and empowering learners. I feel extremely fortunate to work with such a dynamic team.

Hats off to our teachers!

A New Arrival

We have some exciting news to share. Congratulations to Lauren and Edie on the safe arrival of their beautiful baby boy Navy James. Mum and babe are both doing well and enjoying the new daily routines.

St Joseph's Award

Congratulations to Curtis and Indie on receiving the St Joseph's Award at last week's assembly for consistently demonstrating the school values and the behaviour expectations of being respectful, being safe and being  learners.

Please keep Ryan in your thoughts and prayers as he has more surgery this week to remove a tumour. Unfortunately he will not be returning this year to St Joseph's but we hope he will be back with us in 2025.

Oaks Day

Tickets have been released for this wonderful event. The QR code and a letter asking for auction items can be found later in the newsletter. Please think of any possible local businesses or friends who may be able to donate an auction item. Thank you to the organising team.

Year 3/4 Camp

The Year 3/4 students will enjoy a two day camp at Lord Somers Camp. Camps are an important part of the curriculum and provide students with opportunities to build social skills, resilience, team work, independence and confidence. Thank you to Staff accompanying students (Vicki, Jess, Emma, Brittany, Jenny and Megan). I look forward to joining them on Thursday afternoon.

Working Bee

A big thank you to Jane Byrne, Mel McFayden and those who assisted with the planting of the garden area near the retaining wall.

A reminder that school will be closed on Monday 4th November and Tuesday 5th November for the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday.
