We are learning to identify angle types.
VOCABULARY
Angle: the space between two lines or surfaces at the point at which they touch each other, measured in degrees.
Right Angle: 90° exactly, shaped like an L
Acute Angle: Smaller than 90°
Obtuse Angle: Larger than 90°
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Identify angles in everyday objects.
Go on a "scavenger hunt" around the house looking for objects that form angles (e.g. doors, books, corners of tables, picture frames).
Ask your child to classify the angles they find as acute, right, obtuse, or straight.
