Prep 

In Term Four, Prep students will be enhancing their rhythmic skills through the use of xylophones. Students will learn the correct technique when playing the xylophone and continue to improve their understanding of various notes (crotchets and quavers). They will be introduced to many different songs using these notes. Students will first clap the rhythm of a song before looking at the notes to ensure they are playing the song with correct rhythm. Once they are confident with the rhythm, they will begin to find the correct notes on the xylophone to play the song with a steady beat. At the end of the term, students will have gained a greater understanding of basic rhythms and also pitch.
