Year 4

 In Term Four, Year 4 English Innovation students will explore how authors use paragraphs to help readers follow a narrative and craft imaginative writing pieces that are carefully structured to guide the reader’s focus and pacing. They will look at how to engage the reader by introducing new characters, adding suspense, changing the mood, or moving between time, including flashbacks and flashforwards. Additionally, students will explore how the inclusion of a moral in a narrative, can impact the reader and leave a lasting impression.
