Harmony Day

On Thursday the 19th our school community recently came together to celebrate Harmony Day as part of Cultural Diversity Week. Students participated in a range of lunchtime activities in the library that highlighted and celebrated different cultures, alongside proudly sharing their own through cultural dress or a touch of orange.

The day also included a BBQ lunch as a celebration to the end of NAPLAN, providing a great opportunity for students to come together with staff to connect and celebrate. It was wonderful to see our values of Belong, Believe, Become in action, with students embracing and respecting the diversity within our community.

Parent/Carer Support

Parenting young adolescents can be both rewarding and challenging. At 12 and 13 years of age, young people are navigating significant physical, emotional and social changes as they begin to form their identity and seek greater independence.  It is common during this stage for parents and carers to notice changes in mood, behaviour, friendships and communication. These changes can sometimes place strain on family relationships and leave parents unsure of how best to respond or support their child.

It is important to remember that you are not alone, and support is available. Building understanding of adolescent development can make a positive difference in maintaining strong, supportive relationships with your child.

Seeking information and support is a positive step in helping your child, and yourself, navigate this important stage together.

Please see below attached a flyer for a free online parenting support program.
