Meet Our Staff

Our staff at Birranga College are the very heart of everything we do at the college. From teaching and learning to wellbeing and admin support services, every member of our team contributes to creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for our students and community.

Mr Tony Pecur 

Tony Pecur is our Year 7 Coordinator who also teaches Science and Humanities. He loves getting to know students and helping them grow, aiming to create a safe and challenging learning environment this year. Inspired by his very own teachers, Tony has been teaching for 15 years. Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing soccer, cricket, and footy. He enjoys lots of quality time with his family and friends and loves a good movie night watching Harry Potter. Tony hopes to travel more in the future and is open to your suggestion for where to go next. 

Kelly Tuan

Kelly Tuan is one of the three Learning Support Officers (LSOs) at Birranga College. She is constantly inspired by our student's curiosity and eagerness to learn. Supporting students in their educational journey motivates her to work harder each and every day. When Kelly was younger, she used to be a mascot performer in the starring role of Wendy from Bob the Builder and Taro from Hello Kitty. In her free time, she enjoys daily walks, singing and dancing. 

Miss Maddy Joseph 

Inspired by her love and passion for learning Maddy Joseph joins our English and Humanities team at Birranga College. She has been enjoying how kind and friendly the students are and loves watching them learn and make progress in both the classroom and yard. This year, Maddy aims to coach as many sporting teams as possible to connect with more of our year 7 students. Outside of school, she enjoys basketball, running, and reading books by her favourite author Taylor Jenkins Reid. Maddy hopes to one day see an Orca in the wild.
