PHYS ED UPDATE

It has been an exciting and active few weeks in Physical Education at school, with many fantastic achievements and learning experiences for our students.

STUDENT FRIENDLY CRITERIA CARD WALL

We have recently introduced a “Student-Friendly Criteria Card Wall” in our PE space to support student learning and understanding.

This wall displays clear, simple skill cues and success criteria for the activities students are learning (for example: how to throw, catch, or work as a team). The cards use easy-to-understand language and visuals so students can quickly refer to them during lessons.

This allows students to:

  • better understand what success looks like
  • work more independently
  • self-check and improve their skills
  • use consistent language when giving and receiving feedback

By making learning visible and accessible, the Criteria Card Wall helps all students build confidence, develop their skills, and take greater ownership of their learning in Physical Education.

We are also incredibly proud to announce that our school won the Clyde District Swimming Championship. This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the commitment and effort shown by our swimmers both in training and on the day. Well done to all students who represented the school so proudly.

Representing Ramlegh Park at division swimming were 5 super stars who should be proud of their efforts!

Donesha was our sole swimmer in the under 9/10 level, Daivi, Aston and Lucas competed in under 11 and Naysa competed in under 12/13.

Well done to these champions!

NEW FOOTBALL GOALS INSTALLED

We are excited to share that our new football goal posts have been installed on the oval. A special thank you goes to the group of students who created a petition and advocated for this improvement to our school sporting facilities. Their initiative and teamwork helped make this happen, and we are looking forward to seeing students enjoy the new goals during PE lessons and lunchtime sport.
