YEAR 3

FROM THE TEAM
This week in grade three, we returned to our regular routine!
In literacy we began our new talk for write unit where students were given a new text, How to trap a Dragon! During our imitation lesson, students were given a brown paper bag, a miniature dragon, a couple of icy pole sticks, and the text to create a trap for the dragon in the sand pit! The students loved this activity and it made them very engaged with the topic.
In numeracy, we have also begun a new topic, time! Throughout week 8, students were introduced to both analogue and digital time as well as how time can be measured! Through rich discussions we are able to identify activities that take a long time verse activities that only take a short time.
The year three team is very proud of all students for completing the NAPLAN test to the best of their ability and their strength in facing the challenge with a positive attitude.
Well done everyone!
