TEACHER STOPWORK
Thanks to parents/carers for making changes to keep their child/ren at home on Tuesday as we were significantly impacted, with the majority of staff (teachers and education support staff) not available onsite. A big thanks to those parents/carers who informed us their child/ren would and would not be attending. Let’s hope a new Victorian Government Schools Agreement is reached soon.
SCHOOL VALUES - RISE (Responsibility, Inspiration, Strength, Empathy)
We have high expectations for students and staff to demonstrate our values. Each time a staff member sees a student showing our RISE values, they will be acknowledged through a stamp in their diary. If they receive ten stamps, they get a leaf. Once they have three leaves, they receive a RISE Award and Zooper Dooper! To date, we have presented RISE Awards to 61 students. That means that each of these 61 students have demonstrated our RISE values 30 times each! This is fantastic, as this helps the school to provide a fun and safe environment and a positive climate for learning.
MATHS PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
On Wednesday four teachers and I attended a session with staff from our Network of schools to learn strategies allowing all students to be successful in Maths, as well as how to extend their learning.
