Autumn Market -THANK YOU

On Saturday 17th May we hosted our first ever Community Autumn Market. Despite the threatening skies, the crowds rolled in! Makers craft stalls, trash and treasure, musical entertainment, kids activities and community group displays all made for a fantastic day. 

An enormous thank you to everyone who contributed in some way... from those who put up posters around the community and shared our event on social media, those who organised advertising and put up signage at their businesses, those who convinced others to hold stalls, those who held their own stalls, those who harassed their friends and neighbours to come along, those who helped with set up on Friday night, those who arrived at 6:30 am to put out signage up in the dark and direct trailers across the oval, those who hung around after a long day to help pack up, those that ran and grabbed the BBQ trailer and started cooking sausages when the food trucks failed to show, those that cheered on our choir, those who volunteered to man the jumping castle and gold coin bucket, those who supervised and answered questions and directed people around, those who decorated and cleaned and made our school look spectacular, those who came along and brought their families and made it such a WONDERFUL DAY!

The families of Our Lady Star of the Sea would also like to say a special thank you to those who generously donated their time or materials to make our market such a wonderful day for our entire island community- Westernport Water, CFA, Country Womens Association, Bowens, Phillip Island Cricket Club, Newhaven College and Phillip Island Pony Club. “We love our Island home.”
