As we continue on our learning journey this term our students are working towards two dual outcomes; 

  1. Knowing about rhythm
  2. Playing rhythms together in time, on the beat

Now that we have learnt the terminology for note names and values we are working towards using this knowledge, playing rhythms and testing our ability to keep together. 

We used fruit syllables to help us move between different note values, and even keep two different beats at the same time. 

We have also begun learning about different tempos. Our beat stays the same, but it can be fast, slow or anything in between! 

Our F/1/2 class enjoyed a march out in the autumn sun today changing our tempo according to the gauge; The ants go marching one by one, hurrah! hurrah!
