Message from Leadership

It’s been a joyful and purposeful few weeks at St Mary’s as we continue to journey through Term 2.

Education Week

One of the recent highlights was our Open Days, held as part of Education Week. This event gave prospective families a chance to walk through our school and experience learning in action. It was a privilege to welcome visitors into our classrooms and showcase the learning that happens every day at our school. I’d like to thank our dedicated staff for their work in preparing such engaging learning spaces and our students for the pride and confidence with which they shared their school.

Mothers day Breakfast

We also celebrated our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast, which was another special opportunity to honour the women who guide, nurture, and support our students. Thank you to all who joined us. It was a morning filled with joy, gratitude, and community.

Reports and Parent teacher interviews

At St Mary’s, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. Parents and carers are always welcome to meet with teachers to discuss their child’s learning and wellbeing. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact your child’s teacher directly via email or through SeeSaw. This is also the best way to arrange a time to meet if you’d like to discuss something in more detail.

Formal reporting takes place twice a year, with Semester Reports issued at the end of Terms Two and Four. In addition, Parent-Teacher Interviews provide an opportunity to meet face-to-face and discuss student progress, strengths, and goals.

This semester our reports will be released on the 4th of July and we’ve scheduled Parent-Teacher Interviews for the start of Term Three to closely follow the release of Semester One Reports. This allows for a more meaningful conversation about student achievements and next steps for learning in the new semester.

Change of contact details and emergency contacts

To ensure we can contact families promptly in the event of an emergency, it’s important that we have the most up-to-date contact details for all parents and carers.

If your phone number, email address, home address, or emergency contact details have changed recently, we kindly ask that you notify the school as soon as possible. This also includes updating the details of any additional emergency contacts listed on your child’s file.

You can update your details by contacting the school office directly or by emailing admin@smcastlemaine.catholic.edu.au

Thank you for helping us keep our records accurate and ensuring we can reach you quickly when needed.

Wishing all our families a restful and joyful weekend. May it be filled with quality time, laughter, and a little bit of the autumn sunshine.

Take care and see you next week!

Regards,

Anushka
