Art

Recently, our Year 11 and 12 VCE Art Creative Practice students had the incredible opportunity to attend the prestigious Top Arts exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria, Federation Square. This annual event showcases outstanding works by VCE Art and Studio Arts students from across Victoria, offering inspiration and insight into creative practices and artistic excellence.
The visit provided our students with valuable exposure to a range of innovative techniques and themes, enriching their understanding of contemporary art and fostering ideas for their own folios. It was an inspiring day of learning, creativity, and connection with the wider arts community.
Year 10 Art Students Shine in Sustainability Coral Mural Project
Our Year 10 Arts class is making incredible progress on the Sustainability Coral Mural project, a collaboration with Monsalvat artist Rob and part of our Victorian Creative Learning Grant.
Students are embracing sustainable art-making practices, delegating roles, and working collaboratively to bring this sculptural ceramic mural to life. With each piece coming together, the mural is becoming a stunning testament to creativity, teamwork, and environmental consciousness.
We can’t wait to see the final masterpiece!
Congratulations to Cohen Hale, our first art student to “throw clay” on our brand-new ceramic wheel! Under the expert guidance of local artist Rob and our talented sculptor and teacher, Kellie, Cohen has taken the first spin in this exciting new chapter for our art program.
Amazing things are happening in our art space in the coming months so stay tuned for more creative adventures and achievements.
