Year 10 Gratitude Dinner
What a night our Year 10 students put on for their parents at the Gratitude Dinner last night!
As part of our Year 10 focus on Servanthood, a theme woven through our Biblical Studies and camp programs, students had the special opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible service and sacrifice their parents have made in raising them.
At the Dinner, students hosted, served, and entertained as a heartfelt gesture of thanks.
Parents enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, prepared with care, while being treated to an evening of student-led hospitality, gifts, photography and performances.
A very meaningful occasion that was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
ECCO Food Drive: A generous outpouring of love and support
Our Brooklyn Park and South Plympton campuses recently joined forces for an emergency food drive to support Puddle Jumpers Adelaide - a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to caring for some of society’s most vulnerable children and young people, particularly those who are unable to live with their birth parents.
Puddle Jumpers host Free Food Nights at their Glandore location, ensuring families in crisis can access the essential groceries they need to get by, items many of us might take for granted. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our Emmaus community, we collected an incredible volume of food, including pasta, canned goods, noodles and more - so much that the base of the collection truck was filled!
This act of compassion from you will provide real and immediate support to children and families who are doing it tough. We are so grateful to every person who gave, shared, and showed love in action.
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." – Matthew 25:40
Thank you for being part of something so meaningful. Together, we are making a difference.

Learning Assistant Program (LAP) Luncheon
As a thank you to our mentors, we hosted a luncheon that was filled with food, gifts, and heartfelt appreciation.
We have an incredible team of dedicated volunteer mentors who support students with one-on-one sessions each week. These mentors include Secondary students and external volunteers who focus on the wellbeing, academic, social and emotional needs of students who need extra support.
This consistent positive contribution guides and enriches the wellbeing and learning outcomes of our Junior students in a powerful way.
Thank you to our LAP mentors: Ian, Di, Finn, Eliza, Charlotte, Gabriella, Caitlin, Abi, Belinda and Matilda.

Year 7 and 8 Family Picnic
It was so wonderful to attend the Emmaus Year 7–8 catch-up! We met at Patritti, a unique winery located in a beautiful, sun-drenched area. Now, when I say "winery," you might be thinking wine tasting - but don’t worry, there was plenty on offer for the kids too!
Alongside their wines, Patritti had a great atmosphere with lots of family-friendly features. That day, there was a Mexican food van, and believe it or not, there’s also a huge oval right next door!
As great as the playground, wine, and food were, the best part was spending time with our school community. As busy parents, we often just drop off and pick up our kids without much chance to connect. This catch-up was the perfect opportunity to get to know each other, share our values, and exchange ideas.
So, I strongly encourage you to come along to the next event if you can. You won’t regret it!

Year 7 Ancient China Museum Experience
On Tuesday of Week 7, the Year 7 History classes hosted over 200 staff and students at the inaugural Ancient China Museum Exhibition. The Year 7s had been working tirelessly over the past few weeks to create an immersive experience that would transport guests back in time to Ancient China.
Upon arrival, each guest presented their ‘ticket’ and received a Museum Passport (both created by dedicated Year 7 students), which they could use to explore different sections of the museum.
A range of student-led activities were available for guests of all ages, including a scavenger hunt code breaker, a chopsticks guessing game, a voting competition, and a passport where visitors could collect stamps by correctly answering questions about the artefacts on display.
A team of Year 7 tour guides also offered their knowledge and expertise as guests viewed a range of historical artefacts, including weapons, masks, lanterns, games, artworks, food, clothing, dioramas, models and much more.
It was a truly spectacular effort by the Year 7s who are to be commended for their dedication and creativity in bringing the museum to life.
