All of these policies will be uploaded to the website this week.

Finance

The final cash budget was approved for the 2025 school year, along with unpacking the profit and loss from the Chilwell Fair.  The date for next year was confirmed being March 20th, 2026.

Facilities, buildings, and grounds

Discussed the front completion date for the sensory garden, upgrade of sprinkler system and top soiling the lawn at school entrance. This all supported by Democracy Sausage funds.

Also discussed was the yearly Arborist report and status of trees around the school grounds, along with the reinstatement of the library cabinetry, carpet and painting following the storms in February.

Main conversations were around the companies quoting for the resurfacing of the basketball court and timelines.  We are aiming to bring this forward if possible to later this year.

Final agenda items …

Curriculum Day for November 10th was approved, along with the recommendation by Meg and Sarah to push back the BYOD program to grade 3 and not grade 2 in 2026.  This was unanimously moved as a council.
