Home Food Boxes Available

As part of our Breakfast Club program, we receive regular home food packs from Foodbank Victoria. Right now, we have a surplus of boxes and would love for them to make their way into homes where they can be truly useful.

Each box is filled with a mix of pantry staples and lunchbox-friendly items (see photo below for an example).

We warmly invite any families who would find a box helpful to collect one — no questions asked.

How to collect a pack:

  • Drop into the office at any time or contact Narelle Sullivan if you'd like to chat or arrange regular support.
  • On Friday 6 June, surplus boxes will also be available in the Buninyong courtyard — please feel free to help yourself.

These resources are here for our school community. If a food box would make things a little easier this week, we’d love you to take one.

Thank a First Responder - Casual Sock Day!

Wednesday 11 June

Wednesday 11 June is Thank a First Responder Day, to show appreciation for the vital work of paramedics, police officers, firefighters, and other emergency personnel who are first on the scene when help is needed most.

To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a Casual Sock Day!

Students are encouraged to wear bright, fun or quirky socks with their regular school uniform and, if possible, bring along a gold coin donation.

All funds raised will go directly to St John Ambulance, who will be visiting our school the following week to deliver free First Aid training for all students. These age-appropriate sessions will take place on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 June, running for 45 minutes per class.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to:

  • Learn essential first aid and emergency response skills
  • Build confidence in handling emergency situations
  • Contribute to a culture of gratitude and community awareness.

We look forward to a colourful day as we thank our first responders and empower our students with vital life skills!

Well done! All of our recipients enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal.
