Nude Food Recording

There will be a new system to record Nude Food on Tuesday’s. Each class will be given a Nude Food poster. Teachers will take a count and record the number of students who have brought Nude Food to school.  The Grade 6 Sustainability Team will then record each class count without interrupting learning time.. The class with the highest percentage will be the winner. The winning class will still be announced, however this will be during Wednesday’s morning announcements.

World Environment Day

This Thursday, June 5th is World Environment Day. World Environment Day aims to help children understand the importance of Sustainability to build a bigger and brighter future. It would be fantastic if you could talk about ways to be sustainable at home.  There will also be some activities running during lunchtime related to sustainability. Stay tuned during the morning announcements to learn more about these activities.

STEM Question of the Week

Well done to everyone who entered last week’s STEM Question of the week. We had around 40 entries which is fantastic. Last week’s winner was Heath. Well done Heath!

This week’s question is:

I sleep by day and fly at night, but I have no feathers to aid my flight. What am I?

Please give your answer to Miss Middlin in the STEM room. Good Luck!

STEM Scholarship

Over the term the STEM Scholarship students have been working hard at creating possum boxes to place around our school. Last week we had Anita from Gardens for Wildlife Ballarat to come and talk to us about the importance of protecting the environment and animal habitats. Anita also gave us some tips for improving our possum boxes!
