PE & SPORT
The grade 5/6 students have completed their Summer interschool sports. I am waiting on confirmation from the district coordinator and results to be entered from other schools in our district to see which teams have qualifed for Finals. At this stage both softball teams and boys bat tennis seam likely, but not sure about our other teams in basketball at the moment.
Here is the results from the Terms interschool sport matches.

Congratulations to Camilla, Julie, Thomas, Rosie, Peyton and Xanthe for doing a great job representing our school at the recent Division swimming finals. It was a great day and the children swam their best and enjoyed some healthy competition against a number of different schools in our region. Well done everyone!

We have had students from SEDA College Strathmore at our school running some footy clinics for all the children in the school. It has been great to have them back again this year and the children are enjoying some fun football rotations.

Coburg District Football club in conjunction with Auskick are going to trial an all girls football Auskick session on Friday the 20th of March between 3.30-4.30. If any of your children are interested, bring them along to the session for a try out. The aim is for weekly sessions if there is enough intetest in the clinics.
On Thursday the 26th of March John Fawkner Seconday College in association with Melbourne Victory Soccer club will be running a one off clinic at school for some lucky grades.
Winter sport try outs will commence in preperation for interschool sport in Term 2 for grades 5/6.
The sports are:

SOCCER

AFL FOOTBALL

NETBALL
Finally we will be finishing the Term with some training and selection runs for the District cross country event to be held in the early to mid part of next Term. This will be for 7 students in each category, which are U10s, U11s & U12s in both boys and girls. So 42 students will have the opportunity from grades 4, 5 and 6 to compete against other schools in a 2 or 3km run depending on age group against other schools at the Coburg Athletics Track..
