Welcome back to term 4!

Welcome back to Term 4! We trust you had a wonderful break enjoying the sunshine. It’s been such a joy to see our students’ smiling faces again and to have our classrooms filled with laughter and learning. We’re so glad to have your precious children back with us for what promises to be an exciting final term of the year.

A huge welcome to Ms Graham, who has joined KG for the remainder of the year, teaching alongside Mrs Skewes. Ms Goding has had to step away due to illness, and we are incredibly thankful for Ms Graham’s willingness to step in and serve our students and community.

As we move into the warmer months, please ensure your child is wearing their summeruniform and brings a hat each day. Our “no hat, play in the shade” rule remains in place, and hats are also required for outdoor learning and sport. Continued failure to bring a hat will result in a lunchtime detention.

We’re so excited for our Colour Run next Friday (Week 2)! This is always one of the most joyful events of the year. Please send your child in a white shirt and, if they catch the bus, a change of clothes or towel. The fun will begin at2:10 pm, and families are warmly invited to come along and cheer. All money raised will go towards supporting Compassion, helping children and families in need around the world.

This term, our core value focus is Hope — found in 1 Peter 1:3, reminding us of the living hope we have in Jesus. Across the term, students will explore what it means to hold on to hope, trust in God’s promises, and encourage others through acts of kindness and service.

We’re also thrilled to see Praisebeat starting back up in Term 4! Praisebeat is one of the highlights of our week, as students come together to dance and celebrate through music. Excitingly, due to popular demand, we are now offering a Year 5/6 Praisebeat group on Tuesdays. If your child is interested in joining, please collect a permission note from the office.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. We look forward to a wonderful Term 4 together.

Camp Fun!

We are so blessed to give students the opportunity to travel for camp and take part in a range of activities that build connection, resilience, and independence. They get to have memorable experiences, whilst reflecting on God's creation and goodness.

On Thursday 18th and Friday 19th September, Year 3 students headed to Borambola. Over the two days, students got to take part in lots of different activities including kayaking, a mud run, orienteering, pioneering and Mini Olympics. Students were very excited about staying in cabins with their friends for the first time. Over the two days, students had opportunities to work together with their peers and were able to bond as a year group.

A handful of students were asked what their favourite activity of camp was. Below are their responses:

Ethan – My favourite activity was kayaking because we got to crash into people.

Hayley – My favourite thing was being able to sleep in the cabins with my friends.

Rowdy – I loved the mud run because it was muddy. I liked the slide as we went quickly because it was covered in soap.

Ephraim – Orienteering was my favourite part because we had to find things, and it was super fun.

Thomas – My favourite was the mud run because we got to go in the mud pits, and I kept falling over.
