St Louis de Montfort is Celebrating 60 years
Good afternoon families
Yesterday’s colour run was so much fun, and all the children had a great time and raised lots of money for the upkeep of our playgrounds and gardens. A huge thank you to Mrs Stefanec for all her hard work in coordinating the event. Thank you to our Georgie Jonsson and then the year two parents and other parent volunteers for their support in helping. Thank you to the Leadership team, Frank, Lisa and Rose for all their hard work yesterday as well. It really was a team event by all the staff and students. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came along to cheer and support their children.
Congratulations to Mrs Sarah Talbot on her appointment as Deputy Head of Learning Enhancement Senior School at Toorak Ladies College Mt Eliza. Sarah has been at St Louis for 20 years and has worked as a classroom teacher and Learning Diversity leader. I have learnt a lot in the time I have worked with Sarah. I have really appreciated Sarah’s support and friendship over the last 5 years.
Stranger Alert
Yesterday afternoon at Aspendale Gardens shopping centre two students from Aspendale Gardens were approached by a stranger in a car and offered lollies. Luckily a parent intervened, and the car sped away. The police were notified.
Year 2 Family masses
This weekend the year 2 students have their family masses. All Year 2 families are invited to attend any of the weekend masses. Saturday night at 6 pm or Sunday morning at 9.30 am. A huge thank you to Mrs O’ Brien who will be attending the masses this weekend to support the students.
Lawn Bowls
Congratulation to our year 6 Lawn bowls team. Yesterday they came 3rd. Thank you to Ms Barnhoorn for her support and to the parents and grandparents who went along to support the team.
South Metro Regional Athletic Carnival
Congratulations to the 7 students who competed in yesterday’s Athletic carnival. We have 2 students who will go the Nationals in Canberra. I wish them all the very best in their endeavour.
