Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,
GOVEMBER LAPATHON – MONDAY 3RD NOVEMBER!
Get ready to move! Students can come out of uniform in their best ready-to-run or walk clothes as we kick off our Govember Lapathon!
Sponsor forms have been sent home — family and friends can sponsor per lap or make a one-off donation to support our students’ efforts!
Hot Food Day will also be running – make sure to get your orders in at the office or on CompassTix https://compasstix.com/.../2d7d3b1e-6a70-4f3f-acd3... by Tuesday 28th October.
There’ll be spot prizes, plus Zooper Doopers and ice creams for $1 to keep everyone cool after all that running!
VOLUNTEER MORNING TEA
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who assist us with our school programs and events. We are having a Morning Tea, on Tuesday 18 November 2025 at 11am in the B.E.R building, in appreciation of the work that our parent and grandparent volunteers have done this year.
Invitations will be sent next week and upon receipt of your invitation, we ask that you let the office know if you are attending.
We have had great support in classrooms, on excursions, camps, at sporting days, School Council, Parents Association, working bees, fundraising events and many more.
FUNKY HAIR FOR KIDS IN CARE
Next Friday 24th October, we’re turning up the colour and creativity for a great cause!
Come to school with your funkiest, wildest, most colourful hair and bring a gold coin donation.
Students are still expected to be in full school uniform. All proceeds will go directly to Brophy, supporting Kids in Care.
Let’s have some fun while making a difference — we can’t wait to see all the bright and crazy hairstyles!
FOODSHARE DRIVE
As part of giving back to the community, our JSC have once again organised a Food Share Drive.
Classes are accepting donations from now until Friday 31st October.
Most needed items include; Tinned tuna, healthy cereal, tinned fruit, breakfast spreads, cooking oil, tins of mixed vegetables, UHT milk, bolognese sauce and more.
Collection boxes will be in each classroom and be sure to check use by dates please.
CLASS SEPARATIONS/ REQUESTS 2026
As we start creating classes for 2026, we invite you to submit the names of three students you believe your child would benefit from being in a class with in 2026.
Teachers will consider this information in addition to several other factors that create successful classes. While all information is carefully considered, placements are at the discretion of school staff and friendship choices can’t be guaranteed.
Please email or write to your child’s teacher with your child’s three preferences by Monday 10th November 2025. Where no names are received your child’s teacher will make suitable selections on your behalf.
Any separations or other specific requests should be sent directly to warrnambool.ps@education.vic.gov.au and marked attention Principal and not sent to the classroom teacher.
CURRICULUM CONTRIBUTIONS
A friendly reminder that voluntary curriculum contributions for 2025 are now due. While these payments are optional, any contributions made by families greatly assist the school in covering the cost of materials used in the classroom, Art, LOTE, PE and STEM programs.
If you have not yet paid the contributions and would like to, these can be made via Compass or in person at the school office.
We sincerely appreciate the support of families who choose to contribute—it makes a real difference to the resources and learning experiences we can provide for our students.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
If you missed ordering your school photos earlier in the year, it’s not too late! Families can still place orders directly through Leading Image.
They’re also offering a high-resolution digital download and a special gift pack, perfect for sharing with family or keeping as a keepsake for special occasions.
To order, you’ll need your child’s unique access code — contact the school office on 5561 5955 and we’ll be happy to provide it.
Have a great weekend.
