Belmore School Hydrotherapy Program
It has been a great year for hydrotherapy at Belmore. Students have benefited from works improving filtration and water treatment through ultraviolet radiation, which coupled with a change to salt chlorination, meant more time in the water due from improved plant reliability and reduced impact on students' skin.
It has been a pleasure working along side our skilled Program ES, Elysia Kennedy, to deliver hydrotherapy in 2025. We offer students a semester a year of hydrotherapy, alternating with the physical education program. If a student gains particular therapeutic benefit, some students swim year long.
The hydrotherapy program at Belmore balances the "Swim and Survive" curriculum from the Royal Lifesaving Society and the recommendations of our physiotherapists to empower students to swim with confidence, develop water safety skills, augment their physiotherapy needs and, most importantly, have fun!

Occupational Therapy Week
This week we also celebrated our two hard working OT's- Penny and Emily. The theme of 'Occupational Therapy in Action' highlighted the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and compassion. We appreciate all of the support that they provide to our students and the wider community.
