SECRET SANTA:
A Celebration of Talent and Creativity
The Meridian Theatre Company, together with our 2025 Senior Drama Class, recently presented SECRET SANTA, and what an incredible success it was!
Our students delivered outstanding performances, showcasing their creativity, dedication, and passion for live theatre.
From the very first scene to the final curtain, the audience was captivated, and the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported this production, from our talented students and dedicated staff to parents and the wider school community.
Your encouragement and involvement make these experiences possible.
Productions like SECRET SANTA highlight the profound impact of live theatre and the arts in education. Beyond the stage, students develop critical skills including problem-solving, independence, resilience, and creative thinking. These are invaluable qualities that shape
well-rounded, confident young individuals, ready to embrace challenges both on and off the stage.
Congratulations to all involved. Your hard work, teamwork, and artistic brilliance made SECRET SANTA an unforgettable experience!

Year 11 Business Innovation Week
This semester's Year 11 Business Innovation students turned the school mall into a bustling marketplace on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of Week 9.
Each group set up a stall featuring their innovative products and services, ranging from natural skincare and cosmetic products to 3D-printed fidgets and locker organisers. One group even developed an app idea to support student learning through creating review material and quizzes based off information teachers upload to Canvas.
Students took charge of all the business functions, from developing marketing material and pricing their products, to managing their profits and maintaining high levels of customer service. Students were also visited by mystery shoppers, whose feedback was helpful in making improvements over the course of the week.
Teachers and students alike praised the creativity and energy on display, and the event proved to be a valuable learning experience that would give them a taste-test of what business could be like in a real-world setting.

Year 10 History Incursion
On Wednesday 10 September, the Year 10 History classes participated in educational workshops at Endeavour about the Holocaust, facilitated by staff from the Adelaide Holocaust Museum. It is the vision of the Holocaust Museum to tell stories of the Holocaust to educate and inspire South Australians to stand up against anti-Semitism and racism, and actively contribute to creating a fairer, just and more compassionate world.
During the workshops, students studied the chronology of the Holocaust and, using historic artefacts, made personal connections with the stories of six South Australian survivors.
These stories were highlighted throughout the workshops, and this gave the Year 10s greater insight and empathy into the terrible events of the 1930s and 1940s.
Although challenging at times, the students found the experience deeply moving. The educational team, led by Tamas, offered a rich learning program in a safe and respectful manner. A highlight of the final workshop of the day was a Q&A session (via live video link) with 92-year-old Holocaust survivor Andrew Steiner.
The Year 10 students were sincerely grateful for the valuable opportunity to expand their knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust.

Centre Stage Music Concert
The Music Department presented its annual ‘Centre Stage’ concert in Plaza 1 on Wednesday 17 September. Featuring approximately forty senior Music students (with a small handful of Middle Years students), this concert was a superb showcase of six of Endeavour’s senior extra-curricular ensembles.
The concert featured the full spectrum of the diverse range of musical talent and interests that we are fortunate to have here at the College. From the theatrical style of the Senior Vocal Ensemble, who performed songs such as ‘The Room Where it Happened’ from Hamilton, to the head-banging Metal band ‘Petrichor’, who blasted the audience with their high-energy version of ‘No One Knows’ by Queens of the Stone Age, the concert had something for everyone.
The Big Band set the standard high to kick off the evening, featuring songs like ‘Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps’ sung by Patricia Schulz and ‘They Can’t Take That Away From Me’ sung by Alex Fechner, and featuring various talented instrumental soloists including Sienna Loveday on trumpet and Natalie Dao on alto saxophone.
The String Ensemble and Flute Ensemble played a variety of classical and popular music, including a String medley of pieces from the film ‘LaLa Land’ and a Gershwin Ragtime flute arrangement titled ‘Rialto Ripples’. The R & B Band treated us to some Funk and Soul hits, including Ariana Grande’s ‘Jason’s Song’ which featured Jummi David on vocals, and a challenging 5/4 time piece by Snarky Puppy titled Lingus.
A huge thank you goes to Callum Unger, Cristy Wilkins and Daniel Wooldridge for working alongside me to prepare and direct several ensembles on the night!

Bake Sale Supports Indigenous Literacy Day
On Indigenous Literacy Day, our College community came together to support the important work of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). Staff and students baked an array of cakes, slices and biscuits, which were eagerly shared and sold at a special Bake Sale.
The stall was proudly led by our Library Leaders, who not only coordinated the event but also encouraged their peers to learn more about the ILF’s mission to provide culturally relevant books and resources in First Languages to children in remote communities.
Thanks to the generosity of our bakers and buyers, the stall raised valuable funds that will contribute to the Foundation’s programs.
This event was a meaningful way to celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day and highlight the power of reading, storytelling and community support.
